A normal camera lets somebody watch. Ilonai is designed so they do not have to.

Would get (design): an alert when help may be needed, a confirmation image, and a signal if the system itself stops working.
Would not get: a live camera page, an activity timeline, sleep reports, or a way to look in “just to check.”

Your home network stays ordinary
Ilonai is intended to run on its own dedicated wired network with an independent cellular link for status and alerts. No camera cloud account. No dependence on household Wi-Fi. No asking families to configure routers or port forwarding.
Falls in Switzerland
Falls are a Swiss problem, not an abstract global statistic. The BFU reports more than 1,700 fall deaths a year in Switzerland, mostly among people 65 and older.
Ilonai does not claim to prevent those falls. It is designed to turn an unwitnessed fall into a known event.
